It is the time of the year when Google brings the new cat out of its box. Seems like the Nexus fans out there are finally going to see the flagship-league Nexus smartphones sooner than later; so will be those who are eager to taste the Marshmallow iteration. The company has started sending out invite for an event on September 29 in San Francisco, which is in line with the report that predicted this launch date for its new products, a few days back.
The invite reads, “Join us for some tasty new treats and much s’more”, which itself suggests that we will see multiple product launches at the event. While the two new rumored Nexus smartphones, and Android Marshmallow iteration are highly likely to make a debut at the event, there also are speculations around the launch of a new ChromeCast and announcements related to next-gen Google Glass.
Here we have a list of products that are most likely coming on September 29.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow
Several weeks after taking the wraps off Android’s 6.0 Marshmallow version, Google will finally be releasing the much needed update on September 29. The new OS version has been available for preview for a few months now, and seems promising. We await its release!
As per Google’s Announcement Marshmallow Update for Nexus Users will arrive on October 5th
Nexus family to expand
This time around Google is working on two new Nexus smartphones – the LG Nexus 5 (2015 Edition) and a Huawei made new Nexus smartphone. We already know much about these two new Nexus smartphones, thanks to a plethora of leaks and reports. While rumors have it that the new phones will dub as ‘Nexus 5X’ and ‘Nexus 6P’, Google is yet to confirm these devices. Anyway, there launch at the upcoming event is imminent!
Apart from new Nexus smartphones with Android Marshmallow on-board, another device that may make an entry at the event is a new version of Google’s Chromecast dongle, considering recent leaks that suggested a new Chromecast in the making. The new Chomecast is expected to come in a rounder design, and with feature upgrades. Though nothing concrete can be said about its launch, we feel that now that Amazon and Apple have unveiled new devices for TV lovers, Google too would like to bring something to take on its rivals.
Google Glass 2 aka Project Aura might make an appearance
Google launched the Glass in 2012, though the project did not do well for the company. The company however has for long been in rumors for working on the Glass 2, which is now called the Project Aura. Though the chances are slim, Google might just make some announcements around this project at the upcoming event.
